Job Duties

Computer programmers
  1. Write, modify, integrate and test software code
  2. Maintain existing computer programs by making modifications as required
  3. Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions
  4. Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software
  5. Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements
  6. Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications
  7. May lead and co-ordinate teams of computer programmers
  8. May research and evaluate a variety of software products.
Interactive media developers
  1. Program animation software to predefined specifications for interactive video games, Internet and mobile applications
  2. Program special effects software for film and video applications
  3. Write, modify, integrate and test software code for e-commerce, Internet and mobile applications
  4. Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements
  5. Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications
  6. May lead and co-ordinate teams of interactive media developers
  7. May research and evaluate a variety of interactive media software products.

Education Requirement

1.       A bachelor's degree in computer science or in another discipline with a significant programming component or completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.
