Job Duties

1.      Assigns duties to workers and monitors their performance

2.      Interviews, hires, and trains warehouse workers

3.      Maintains required stock levels

4.      Prepares and manages budgets

5.      Responds to customers questions and complaints

6.      Review invoices, work orders and data to estimate peak delivery periods

7.      Schedules and monitors the pickup or delivery of products

8.      determining, implementing and monitoring purchasing, storage and distribution strategies, policies and plans

9.      preparing and implementing plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum cost

10.  negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements

11.  monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels

12.  operating recording systems to track all movements of supplies and finished goods, and ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking at optimal times

13.  liaising with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation

14.  overseeing the recording of purchase, storage and distribution transactions

15.  directing staff activities and monitoring their performance
